Your guide will assess the pass's condition to ensure safety before crossing. The descent from Thorong La is equally dramatic, and we'll take our time to avoid any slips or falls. As we descend, we'll enter the spectacular Kali Gandaki Gorge, considered one of the world's deepest gorges. It carries water from the Tibetan Plateau to the Ganges River. Enjoy the magnificent scenery along the trail as we finally reach Muktinath, an important religious pilgrimage site with various temples and shrines. Tatopani Hot Spring

Day 9
Today involves another day of extended hiking, although the terrain is less challenging than the previous day. We'll begin by descending through the Jhong Valley, known for its ancient form of Buddhism. Look out for historic stone cairns as we traverse the narrow streets and stone-built homes of Kagbeni, a picturesque town on the edge of Nepal's restricted Mustang region. After lunch, we'll continue through the valley, encountering strong winds in certain sections—keep a tight hold on your hat! Our hike concludes in Jomsom, where we'll take a local sharing jeep or bus to Tatopani, a journey that takes approximately five to six hours. This is a fantastic opportunity to observe rural Nepal's lush forest landscapes while engaging in conversations with locals. Upon arrival in Tatopani, we'll check in at our teahouse before indulging in the soothing hot springs located below the village.
