We will explore the rich and diverse Balkan culture. 🌞 We begin our journey from Skopje. As you traverse through Skopje, the capital of Northern Macedonia, you'll be captivated by its blend of Ottoman, Byzantine, and European influences. The city's iconic landmarks, such as the Stone Bridge and the Kale Fortress, will transport you back in time while exploring its vibrant bazaars and traditional neighborhoods. We will be staying 2 nights in Skopje. Continuing the adventure, we travel by bus to Niš, a city in Serbia known for its pivotal historical role. Delve into the local culture by sampling traditional Serbian delicacies and engaging with friendly locals who are always eager to share their stories. We will also spend two nights in Niš. We then head to Belgrade, Serbia's vibrant capital, where history and modernity collide. Discover the grandeur of Kalemegdan Fortress, stroll along the lively pedestrian street of Knez Mihailova, and experience the city's vibrant pubs. This bustling metropolis offers a fascinating blend of history, art, music, and delicious cuisine, making it a unique and unforgettable destination. Stay for 2 nights. Next, we'll explore Novi Sad, a picturesque city nestled on the banks of the Danube River. Known for its vibrant cultural scene and charming architecture, Novi Sad is home to the impressive Petrovaradin Fortress and hosts the renowned Exit Festival. Soak up the Bohemian atmosphere of the city's cafés, explore its charming streets, and immerse yourself in the artistic spirit of the local community. We will spend 3 nights in Novi Sad, as one of the days we will be exploring the beautiful national park Fruska Gora where is another highlight of this journey. This lush green oasis offers breathtaking landscapes, medieval monasteries, and countless hiking trails. Finally, the trip concludes in Subotica, a hidden gem near the Hungarian border. Stroll through its elegant squares, visit the magnificent Subotica Synagogue, and indulge in the local cuisine, which reflects a fascinating mix of Serbian, Hungarian, and Balkan flavors. We stay 1 night in Subotica and ending our trip from there to Belgrade for an easy flight back.
