A fresh Blacksea experience with lots of nature in it. Trabzon is the most important city of the Blacksea region of Türkiye, a magnet for tourists. This trip is right for you if you are looking for an all-in-one package of history, culture, food, green and city life. This city is my home, and I invite you to join me.

About me: I am an English-Turkish translator with film and photography passion. I love traveling and hosting a group of people, and guiding them whether it is a travel or a friends gathering. Having a travel party from different locations will also help me expand my soul and gain some new friends with whom I might be building long run relationships.

Accommodation: Or accommodation will be shared hotel rooms, I will make reservation in advance. When the group chat activates, I will gather all the opinions of my mates whether they want to share a hotel room or a villa. There are also a few more options such as local village houses/ hotels if agreed. A second hotel/ villa reservation might be needed, if all mates agree on staying close to Uzungöl area for may be one night. Girls Monastery

Day 1-2
It is believed that the Girls Monastery, also known as Panagia Keramista, was built during the reign of the Byzantine Emperor Alexios III, and took its final shape in the 19th century after several renovations over the years. The monastery consists of a rocky chapel on the south side, a chapel near the entrance, and a few rooms. The church contains inscriptions and portraits of Alexios and some important religious relics.

Gulbahar Hatun Mosque

Day 2
Sultan Selim I, the Ottoman conqueror of Syria and Egypt (known as Yavuz), built the Gulbahar Hatun Mosque in the southwest of the bazaar in 1514 AD, in honor of his mother, Gulbahar Hatun. The mosque was distinguished by a distinctive design, in which it relied on the use of black and white stone in a beautiful and unique harmony. The courtyard of the mosque includes a tea garden and a newly reconstructed wooden store. The mosque is one of the distinctive religious monuments of Mersin.

Sümela Monastery

The monastery is the Orthodox monastery of the Virgin Mary, known as Sumela Monastery, and is one of the landmarks of the Black Sea. One of the distinctive monuments in Trabzon. The monastery is located in a privileged area on the slopes of a mountain and is surrounded by the most beautiful and picturesque natural features, where the wonderful forest is full of tall trees and running water. To reach the monastery, it is necessary to climb on the mountain, and although it is difficult, it is well worth the effort. It is an interesting and unforgettable learning experience.

Vazelon Monastery

Day 3
Vazelon Monastery (Greek: Μονή Βαζελώνος, Romanized: Moni Vazelonos) is a ruin located in the Black Sea region of Turkey. It is 40 km (25 mi) south of Trabzon. Justinian I, a ruler of the Byzantine Empire, ordered the monastery to be repaired in 565, and it was renovated multiple times until the 20th century. The current structures date from the rebuilding in 1410.

Uzungöl is probably the mostly known tourist attraction point of the region after the Sumela Monastry. With its natures it is called Alpes of the BlackSea. A great attraction if you are looking for nature.

Orta mahallasi, located in Akçaabat, Trabzon is a protected neighbourhood that still has the marks of Ottoman architecture. Being similar to Bursa's historic neigbhourhood, one can have a glimpse of history and relax from the city.

Calkoy Cave

Day 4
This cave is the second largest in the world and extends inside one of the mountains in the city of Trabzon. The cave includes a number of passages that are estimated to be about 8 km long from inside the cave. Visitors can walk 1 km inside it, where there are stalagmites, stalactites, and beautiful and distinctive water ponds that were formed over millions of years. Hagia Sophia Mosque

Hagia Sophia (Greek: Αγία Σοφία, meaning 'the Holy Wisdom'; Turkish: Ayasofya) is a formerly Greek Orthodox church that was converted into a mosque in 1584. It is located in Trabzon, northeastern Turkey. It was converted into a museum in 1964 and back into a mosque in 2013. The building dates back to the thirteenth century, when Trabzon was the capital of the Empire of Trebizond. It is located near the seashore and two miles west of the medieval town's limits. It is one of a few dozen Byzantine sites extant in the area and has been described as being "regarded as one of the finest examples of Byzantine architecture.

St. Anne's Church

St. Anne's Church is one of the oldest churches in Trabzon, it is a small building with some parts of religious icons left on the walls inside. It is considered the oldest church in the city, as it was built in the seventh century. Although it was damaged by fires, you can see more than one mural on the wall.. You can also see the Byzantine architectural monuments inside and outside the remains of the church. This church is visited by a large number of tourists, especially lovers of history and antiquities

Trabzon Castle

Day 4
Trabzon Castle is one of the impressive places. Trabzon Castle dates back to the Byzantine Empire. The castle extends from a hill overlooking the city to the shore of the Black Sea. It consists of three parts, namely; The upper castle, the middle castle, and the lower castle. It is easy to reach the castle as it is located in the center of the city, and you can enjoy the ruins of the former Byzantine imperial palace that were hidden alongside ordinary local houses, the panoramic view at the top of the castle is exceptional not to be missed.

Iskenderpasa Mosque

Day 4
Iskandar Pasha Mosque is an Ottoman mosque dating back to the 16th century in Trabzon, and it is one of the distinctive monuments of the city, which in its origin included a religious school and a cemetery. But today, the schools no longer exist in his courtyard, the old cemetery has been removed, leaving only the tomb of Iskenderpasa.

Alaca Han
