With one of the biggest urban parks in the world (3x Central Park), a hidden castle, amazing skyscrapers and even Aztec ruins in the heart of the city; Mexico City (or CDMX) has everything a huge metropolis has to offer and more! It's full of monuments, museums, history, art, folklore, parties, adventure and amaaaazing food. Immerse yourself in this city through a carefully thought out itinerary that is intended for you to see it through a local’s eyes and really feel like you're part of the amazing vibe CDMX has to offer. We will explore the hidden gems the city has, see the historic center, get to know Frida Khalo’s house and studio, visit the financial district and the world known trajinera tour through “CDMX’s Venice”. And as a local, I promise you we won't encounter the sea of tourists that visit the city (I’ve got some hacks ;) ). We will be moving around and soaking in the huge cultural influence through a diverse range of options; from amazing gastronomy to cool bike trips and even hikes in amazing forests. Also, as every huge metropoly, CDMX has amazing bars and clubs that will blow your mind away and as a proud resident of the city I know the best and have a diverse list you can choose from. PD: There’s also optional tours and activities provided by me throughout the week, but not always the whole group wants to book them, so I prefer to let people choose, these activities are: Optional taco tour → As a taco connoisseur, I would love to give you a taco tour through the best taco places in the city, so you see the city through another lens. Optional ‘cantina’ tour → Mexico City has some iconic canteens, from times of the revolution to some modern ones. Canteens are places where you can really feel the vibe and folklore of the city; get to know them with a local and learn all the particularities each one of them has. Optional morning hikes → México City is a valley surrounded by mountains, forests, and even volcanoes. Come with me to my favorite hikes through these forests (I know them in, out and around; like the palm of my hand). Teotihuacan → Visit one of the most mysterious Pre-Hispanic ruins in Latin America: Teotihuacan, a Pre-Hispanic city situated 1.30 hrs away from México City. We could manage to get an optional balloon flight tour through the ruins, but that would mean an extra cost.

About me: My name is Fernando de la Parra, an outgoing, fun and flexible individual who’s always ready to explore and learn from the world around me. I’ve lived in many countries, but Mexico City is always home for me :). I've been living here for most of my life, and I’m honestly in love with this city, it always has something new to show you. Thanks to my professional and educational career, I know a lot of the history of the city and will be providing the guided tours by myself; same with the museums we will be visiting.

Our accommodation: We will be staying in a house/appartment (depending on the number of TripMates) in the most vibrant, uplifting and hippie neighbourhood of the city; Colonia Roma. Rooms will be shared, but single beds can be provided. This is a great place to stay because it's full of amazing parks and streets, and it's between the historic center and the modern part of the city. Not convinced yet? Read the itinerary and get ready for an amazing week in one of the biggest and most beautiful cities of the world.
