living in London has turned me into a speed-walker extraordinaire! Honestly, traversing from point A to point B feels like a marathon sometimes! 😂 That said, I'm all about making the most of every second, especially during those precious not so long weekends. So, while I love getting lost in the cobblestone streets and stumbling upon hidden gems, rest assured, we won't miss out on any must-see spots. If you're as keen as I am to explore without wasting a moment, then you, my friend, are the perfect companion for this adventure! 🚶‍♀️⚡️ And hey, who knows? Our escapade might just lead us on an unplanned pub crawl. If that happens, I'll be right beside you, raising a glass and soaking in the vibrant Irish spirit. Cheers to making memories that'll last a lifetime! 🍻🎉

Where will we stay? I was planning to stay in a lovely air B&B but if anyone's feeling the itch for some privacy, just give me a nudge. I'll roll up my sleeves and see what I can do to sort out a private room. After all, it's all about making sure everyone's comfortable and having a blast! 🛏️🎉 Any questions about the trip? You can let me know in the Q&A section!

Trip Itinerary
1

Centre

Day 1-4
Visiting Palma de Mallorca in 3 days offers a perfect balance between exploring the city's rich history, enjoying its beautiful beaches, and indulging in its vibrant culture. We will be landing in Palma de Mallorca on Thursday 18th and since our flight will land late in the night we will head straight to the air b&b to sleepover and feel relaxed for the days ahead.
2

Catedral-Basílica de Santa María de Mallorca

Day 4
🌞 Let's start our first day of this 3-day Mallorca itinerary with breakfast at Fika Farina. This Swedish sourdough bakery offers amazing cinnamon buns, excellent croissants, and great coffee. Another option for breakfast is Maison Legrix, a great French bakery. The pistachio one is apparently very well recommended. 🏰 We will start our day by exploring the Old Town (Casco Antiguo) of Palma de Mallorca. Wander through its narrow cobblestone streets lined with historical buildings, charming squares, and local shops. ⛪ We will continue visiting Santa Eulalia & La Seu Cathedral, one of the most iconic landmarks in Palma. Marvel at its stunning Gothic architecture, intricate interior, and breathtaking views of the city and sea from its terrace. The ticket also includes free entry to the Museum of Sacred Art (MASM), located next to the cathedral. The museum’s collection features religious paintings from the Middle Ages and Renaissance, intricate altarpieces, sculptures, and other religious items.
3

Royal Palace of La Almudaina

Day 4
🍽️ After visiting the cathedral, explore the Almudaina Palace, a former Moorish fortress that now serves as the official residence of the King and Queen of Spain when they visit Mallorca. Admire its beautiful architecture and explore the interior rooms and courtyards. Continue with a nice stroll along Passeig des Born, a picturesque tree-lined avenue filled with cafes, shops, and street performers. 🏛️ On your way to lunch, stop at the famous Plaça de Cort. This historic square is home to the beautiful Ajuntament de Palma, Palma de Mallorca’s city hall. The building dates back to the 17th century and features a mix of architectural styles, including Baroque elements. 🍳 For lunch, head to Café Noti. It is my favorite place for brunch in Palma. They serve delicious Eggs Benedict, tasty toasts, sweet treats, and fantastic coffee. I particularly loved their Mediterranean Toast (with burrata and serrano ham) and their Eggs Benedict with serrano ham. Another option for brunch is Surry Hills Coffee. They offer a variety of toasts featuring seasonal ingredients, egg dishes, and fresh pastries. Personally, I liked their toast with mushrooms and feta cheese.
4

Es Baluard Museu d'Art Contemporani de Palma

Day 4
In the afternoon, visit the Es Baluard Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, located in the heart of Palma. Explore its impressive collection of works by Balearic and Spanish artists, as well as international contemporary art. After the museum, take a leisurely stroll along the waterfront promenade, Paseo Marítimo, and enjoy the views of the Mediterranean Sea. 🌃 End the night in the lively neighborhood of La Lonja. This area is known for its trendy bars, restaurants, and nightlife.
5

Castell de Bellver

Day 4
In the morning we will visit the Bellver Castle (Castell de Bellver), a stunning fortress from the 14th century. It was built during the reign of King James II of Mallorca to serve as both a royal residence and a defensive stronghold. One of the most distinctive features of Bellver Castle is its circular layout. It is the only circular castle in Spain and one of the rare few in Europe. The castle’s name Bellver means beautiful view. And indeed, it offers a stunning 360-degree panorama of the Bay of Palma and the Tramuntana Mountains. Nowadays, the Bellver Castle houses the City History Museum (Museu d’Història de la Ciutat de Palma de Mallorca).
6

Cala Major

Day 4
After visiting the castle we will relax in the most popular sandy beach near the main city of Palma. A beautiful white sand beach that will allow us to unwind, drink some mojito and enjoy the beautiful sun of the island.
7

Alcúdia

Day 4
Start your day with breakfast at Manjares. They have a great selection of pastries and cakes and excellent coffee. The chocolate dulce de leche cake was fantastic. We will catch the bus/ train to go to the north of the island and visit Alcúdia, one of the oldest settlements on the island. Its origins can be traced to the Phoenicians and later the Romans, who founded the city of Pollentia in 123 BC. Alcúdia is famous for its well-preserved medieval walls and narrow cobblestone streets, lined with charming traditional houses. We will visit all its attractions in just 2 hours: Portal de Moll, church of St Jaume and Roman remains of Pollentia. On Sundays, be sure to check out the bustling market near Portal del Moll and throughout the town’s streets. For lunch head to Bodega Ca’n Pantina. It’s a great cosy restaurant serving Mallorcan cuisine, fresh fish and paellas. I tried the tomato bread with cheese and ham, along with the croquettes and spicy patatas bravas – absolutely delicious!
8

Playa De Muro

Day 4
In the afternoon we will relax at Playa de Muro. Famous for its turquoise waters and sandy shores, Playa de Muro is the longest beach in the Balearic Islands. The beach boasts a long stretch of fine, white sand surrounded by dunes and pine trees. We will catch bus 302 from Alcúdia to get to the beach (10min journey). Another option is to visit Playa de Alcúdia instead, which is located right between Playa de Muro and the town of Alcúdia. It’s a fantastic sandy beach with clear waters.
9

Palma de Mallorca Airport

Day 4
As our amazing adventure in Mallorca comes to a close, we find ourselves torn between readiness and reluctance to return to London. 🏖️✈️ Reflecting on our three unforgettable days, we recall the enchanting sights, delectable flavors, and vibrant atmospheres that have left an indelible mark on our hearts.
