Why you should visit Iznik? Iznik is located 140 kilometres south of Istanbul's ancient Nicea now Iznik, is an important, historical, and beautiful place surrounded by massive medieval walls set on the shore of a broad İznik Lake. Iznik, which has been the capital of 4 different civilizations, is on the UNESCO World Heritage candidate list. Two Christian ecumenical councils were held here. The 1st in 325, and the 7th in 787. The Hagia Sophia Church (right at the city center) was the scene of the 7th council. In 2014 the remains of a 1,600-year-old Byzantine basilicas were discovered a short distance offshore in İznik Lake. Details about the accommodation: We will stay in a very cozy stylish duplex house near the lake. Private rooms with shared 2 bathrooms. There is a fireplace, a garden, 2 balconies, and a big verandah. There is no wifi in the house. 5 minutes away (by walk) from a stylish free wifi club restaurant and 10 minutes away from a mini market. Feel free to ask any questions in the Q&A section. İstanbul

Day 1
We will meet in Istanbul at the Kadıköy/ Metrobus stop at 11:00 am in the morning and our journey will begin. On our car journey, which will take about 2 hours long, we arrive in Iznik with beautiful views.

İznik Lake

Day 1-4
Day 1: After settling in our house by the lake, we go to the club restaurant for lunch. Today is a day of rest and relaxation. You can read a book on the beach, swim in the lake, take a walk by the lake, rent sailing, windsurf, canoe, or pedalo. At sunset, we will taste 3 different types of local wines: white, red, and rose. We will have dinner in the garden of the house under the stars. We can continue to sit in the garden after dinner. If you want, we can take a walk on the site where the house is located or go to the bar.

SANSARAK KANYONU

Day 4
Day 2: Sansarak Canyon & Ihsaniye Village. The lake will be magnificent in the early hours of the morning ;) We will do a morning swim with those who wish before breakfast. After breakfast, we set off by car to go to Sansarak Canyon, a hidden paradise in the depths of the forest. After a 30-minute drive, we arrive at Sansarak Village. Before the canyon walk, we drink tea/coffee in the village cafe and start the walk. There are beautiful natural pools for swimming in the canyon. We do not forget our snacks (such as nuts, and fruit), drinks, lunch, and our spare clothes. After the 7-hour canyon walk, we go to İhsaniye Village. We go home and get ready before dinner. We eat the special menu prepared for us at the restaurant by the lake for dinner. REQUIRED CLOTHING: * Hat * Changeable spare undershirt and socks. * Raincoat (no umbrella). *There should be at least 1 liter of water in a thermos or plastic bottles. * Each hiker should have one meal of food and drink in their bag. * Basic first aid supplies and special medicines for people. * Walking sticks or sticks that will serve the same function are useful for balancing during walking, stream crossings, and sloping lands. * Swimming suit.

İznik

Day 4
Day 3 - Iznik History Tour: In the morning, after swimming in the lake and having traditional breakfast at home, we go to the city center of Iznik. The places we will visit today: - Lefke Gate - Green Mosque - Iznik Museum - Suleyman Pasha Madrasa - Hagia Sophia - 1st Murad Bath - Underwater Basilica Obelisk (Obelisk) - Ancient Roman Theater - Istanbul Door - Yenisehir Gate - Heracles Rock Relief - Hypogee (Catacomb) - Lunch at the local restaurant. - BBQ dinner at home.

İstanbul

Day 4
Day 4: Morning swim in the lake. Traditional breakfast at home and some free time. At 13.30 we set off to return to Istanbul. We end our tour at the Kadıköy Metrobus stop around 16.00. Hope to see you on the next trip :)
