Trip Itinerary
1

Poznań

Day 1
Get settled in your cozy accommodations and prepare for an exciting week in Poznań! Please feel free to ask questions or make requests about the rooms. If you want private or three-person room - please let me know! Also feel free to read more about accommodation in the "accommodation" section above.
2

Old Town

Day 1-2
Start by taking a stroll through the historic Old Town, where you'll encounter stunning architecture, charming squares, and the iconic Town Hall. Immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere and enjoy a taste of local cuisine at one of the cozy restaurants.
3

Imperial Castle

Day 2
Today is all about Poznań's cultural heritage. Visit the Imperial Castle, a magnificent neo-Romanesque fortress turned cultural center. But that's only the beginning! After we see this amazing building, we can go for some food - I know some really good restaurants around :D (By the way - while we'll be there, the Barbie exhibit will be organized in the Imperial Castle - we can see that too!) And if you want to go with me to the cinema, that is also located in the Castle - they will be playing Enter the Dragon with Bruce Lee! In English, of course, Polish subtitles.
4

National Museum

Day 2
We will see the breathtaking (I'm not even exaggerating - really unforgettable experience) National Museum. You might think that museums are a little boring - but wait until you see this one! This is definitely one of the must-visit places in Poznań. We will be able to see the exhibits that are held at that time, which will be: The Animal Before Me - "The display emphasizes images with motifs of animals which used to occupy a marginal position in art, while here they have been placed in the spotlight. Thus, we reverse the traditional hierarchy of genres, to reflect on animal rights and representations." - National Museum website KENYA HARA. Graphic Design from Japan - "The exhibition presents a selection of the artist’s posters and books. This core of the display includes projects prepared especially for the Poznań show. They are accompanied by other publishing projects, i.e. advertising magazines and periodicals, designed since the beginning of Hara’s professional activity. In almost all of his works, the author attaches great importance to his home country’s cultural tradition, which he skilfully transposes into the modern language of posters and other areas of design." - National Museum website Can't wait to show you this amazing place!
5

Poznań Cathedral

Day 2-3
It's a little far from city center - but don't worry, the public transportation tickets are included in the price! And I promise you - it's worth it. Even if you're not Christian, I'm sure it will leave you in awe. Truly a Gothic masterpiece.
6

Chocolate Museum

Day 3
This time we will start the day with Chocolate Museum! Or we can do it in the afternoon, if you don't want to get your sugar too high in the morning :D We will not only be able to see the backstage of the best (in my opinion) chocolate manufacturers in Poland, but we will also take place in workshop and make our own chocolate!
7

Stary Browar

Day 3-4
A former brewery turned shopping and culinary haven. Sample local delicacies at the lively food market, and don't miss out on trying traditional Polish pierogi. We can also do some shopping. I will show you some of my favorite shops, and the best restaurants.
8

Gniezno

Day 4-5
A day trip to Gniezno! It's really close, and it would be a shame to not see the first capital of Poland! We will admire its stunning cathedral. Continue to the serene Lake Lednickie, where we can enjoy a leisurely walk or rent a boat to soak in the tranquil surroundings. Wrap up the day with a visit to the impressive Lednica Landscape Park, if we still have time.
9

Citadel Park

Day 5
The place where I spend most of my time reading books. Really beautiful park, full of sculptures, historical curiosities and even tanks and airplanes! Don't worry though - no one is going to war, there is a military museum there.
10

Poznań Palm House

Day 5-6
I will be honest - it's true that the palms and flowers are nice to see and to relax, but that's not the reason why I come to this place so often. The real reason are the weird-looking fishes that will try to eat your finger! Really amusing sight, and you can rest assured - they don't have teeth (if they would, I wouldn't be able to write this itinerary right now).
11

Lake Malta

Day 6
I think there is no need for me to say much about this place - It's one of the nicest lakes in Greater Poland. We can enjoy a nice picnic there, and -believe me or not, there is always something interesting happening around lake Malta.
12

Jeżyce

Day 6-7
The hip Jeżyce neighborhood, known for its trendy cafés, unique boutiques, and vibrant street art. I will show you some good restaurants, and we can get a lunch or dinner there. There is one restaurant that the locals really fancy - if you want to know which one - JoinMyTrip! (pun intended)
13

Warta

Day 7
The river in Poznań, we can enjoy a nice beer (or cola, if you don't drink alcohol) on the riverside. Don't worry, it's totally legal, you just need to drink in the zone provided for it. Afterwards we can go to the kebab place which is localised inside an old tram (literally). Never have been there, but always wanted to go.
14

Croissant Museum

Day 7
Learn the secrets behind the traditional St. Martin's croissant. Well, it's not really croissant, but I don't think there's a better name for it in English. In polish, it's called "rogal", you can google it.
15

Poznań

Day 7
The end of our journey. We will visit some places that are located on the main streets, buy some souvenirs and eat the last Polish supper. We can take some photos of us together, which I will later make into a postcard and send to each one of you individually. So if you've read so far and still have any questions - feel free to ask me anytime. See you soon in Poznań!
