The Ellora Caves are authentic in terms of the forms and designs, materials and substance, and locations and setting of paintings, rock-cut architecture, sculptures, and unfinished temples of three different faiths, i.e. Buddhism, Brahmanism, and Jainism.

We could also do a day trip to Devgiri fort, Soneri Mehal, Bibi ka Makbara, Panchakki, Aurangabad Caves, and many more located in Aurangabad city. Every location is 30 to 45 minutes distance from Aurangabad.

Devgiri Fort

Day 3
Devgiri Fort is a fortified citadel located atop a conical hill in Aurangabad, about 200 meters above the sea level. Its strategic location, incredible architecture, and three-layer defense system made it one of the most powerful hill fortresses of the medieval period. Daulatabad fort has many interesting and exciting monuments. The most famous and prominent one is Chand Minar that is a 30-meter high watchtower and a huge stone made elephant pool and more. Devgiri Fort in Aurangabad is mostly visited by the tourist and nature lover who just adore seeing its beauty. Tourists can reach Devgiri Fort through rail, bus, or air. You can also get your private vehicle to see the beauty of Devgiri Fort. But the best option to visit Devgiri Fort is by using state transport. Soneri Mahal

Day 3
When you travel to India, you will see many museums. India has such an important history and culture that every village can have a museum of it. This museum is made up of unique and antique pieces. Today, we invite you to discover the history of museum in India. Located 2 kilometres from the infamous Bibi Ka Maqbara and about 6 kilometres from the Aurangabad Railway Station, is the last remaining Palace in the city, Soneri Mahal. This historical Palace is said to have derived its name from the golden paintings that adorned it in the past. These paintings have now disappeared, leaving the two-storeyed spacious building, which has a Rajput style architecture. This museum situated at the University of Aurangabad which is under archeology department. The elements presented are quite eclectic. When you return, on the left side, you have a room with weapons from the 17th to the 19th century. Then on the right, there is a beautiful collection of paintings painted on wood and on glass representing Hindu deities. Then you reach the central room of the palace. This is where the family was organizing festivals or celebrations.

Aurangabad Caves: Western Group (Caves 1-5)

Day 3
The caves of Aurangabad lie to the north of the city in the protective bosom of the Sihyachal ranges, and rise above the plains to a height of 700 feet. Aurangabad Caves are rock-cut structures carved out of soft basalt rocks. They display early Buddhist architecture and feature Buddhist shrines and residential cells called viharas. In total, the site has 12 caves, which have been named numerically and divided into three groups. The first group includes Cave 1 to Cave 5 (Western Group) while the second group comprises Cave 6 to Cave 9 (Eastern Group). The third group includes the remaining three caves, namely Cave 10, Cave 11 and Cave 12 (Northern Group).
