If the trekkers have little experience of the expedition in the Himalayas, then it is helpful for the climbers. We embark on a wonderland adventure during our trip. This adventure takes us into the heartland of the Khumbu Valley as well as the Everest base camp (5357m/17575ft). The island peak climbing with the Everest base camp trek is more adventurous and technical. The trek commences with an easy scramble along with a rock ridge to a glacier. In the above, there is a steep snow headwall leading to the classic summit ridge. This trail goes through Namche Bazar, where we are able to explore the Sherpa culture, dress, etc., which will be very interesting to see! We also visit other most popular trekking trails of Nepal. Such, as Kala Patthar with Everest base camp Trek during this trek before scaling the Island Peak. The journey of Island peak climbing with Everest base camp trekking as well climbing starts after taking a short and scenic mountain flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. It takes about 30 min to reach Lukla. We are observing the gorgeous views of Khumbu or the Everest region during the flight to Lukla. The thick forest of rhododendron, oak, Birch, and Pine trees are the attraction on the way to Dingboche. Our first point of Island peak climbing is Dingboche. Ice axes, crampons, and other equipment give you more confidence to climb this technical and challenging climbing of Island peak. The snow capped mountains, glaciers, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Lhotse, Lhotse Shar, Lhotse middle peak, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Baruntse, and gorgeous views of Ama Dablam give you relief from the tiredness. Kathmandu

Day 1-3
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft) Nepal Holiday Treks and Tours representative waiting for you at the gate who will take you to your hotel. Day 02: Kathmandu (1300m/4264ft): trip preparation Today we visit, the office of Nepal Holiday Treks and Tours and we will give you a short description of your trip. Also, make the arrangements for the trip.

Phakding

Day 3-5
Day 03: Fly to Lukla (2,800m/9,184ft) then trek to Phakding (2,652m/8,700ft): 40 min flight, 3-4 hours trek We will take a flight to reach Lukla. During the flight, we are able to observe the mesmerizing views of the Everest/ Khumbu region. Day 04: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,283ft): 5-6 hours After having breakfast we walk through the beautiful pine forest and DUDH Koshi river to reach Namche Bazar. After walking for almost over an hour, we come across the glistening Mt. Thamserku (6,608m) on our right and also experience the serenity of pine, fir, and juniper forests throughout our journey. If the weather is in our favor then we are able to see the fabulous scenic view of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, etc.

Namche Bazar

Day 5-6
Day 05: Namche Bazaar (3,440 m/11,283 ft): Acclimatization Day Today is our rest day. Health experts recommend that we stay active and move around even during the rest day instead of being idle. There are a few options to do on this day i.e. Namche’s quaint villages or come in contact with the Sherpa people and their rich culture, or we can hike up to the Everest View Hotel and enjoy an up-close view of the mighty Everest. While in the Namche village or upon returning from the hike to the Everest View Hotel, trekkers may also visit the local museum containing exhibits displaying the area’s native flora and fauna as well as the history of the Mount Everest region.

Tengboche

Day 6-7
Day 06: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870m/12,694ft): 5- 6 hours After having breakfast, We will start to trek towards tang boche. During the journey, we explore Tengboche monastery which is the largest monastery in the Everest region. It is located amidst the Sagarmatha National Park (a UNESCO World Heritage Site of “outstanding universal value”), it is draped with the panoramic 360-degree view of the Himalayas, including Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku. The monastery opens at 3:00 pm so if we are lucky we might just be able to witness a religious ceremony.

Pheriche

Day 7-8
Day 07: Tengboche to Pheriche (4,200m/13,776ft): 4-5 hours This day, we will visit the monastery in the morning and take pictures of the monastery and the amazing landscape. We get opportunities to observe the traditional Sherpa village of Pangboche before reaching Pheriche, a beautiful village located on a riverside. Here, we will also see a small helipad that is used for helicopter rescues during emergencies.

Lobuche

Day 8-9
Day 08: Pheriche to Lobuche (4,930m/16,170ft): 5-6 hours We continue to climb as we are heading to the altitude of 4,910m at Lobuche which appears dwarfed at the foot of the giant Lobuche peak. Some breathing problems may arise today due to the altitude. The trail passes along the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier and by stone memorials for climbers who have perished on nearby summits.

Gorak Shep

Day 9-10
Day 09: Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5170 m/16,961ft) visit Everest Base Camp (5364m/17,594ft): 6-7 hours Today is our difficult day because we need to walk along the Khumbu Glacier and up to Everest Base Camp at 5365 meters. There will likely be a team about to attempt the summit. The view of the Khumbu Icefall from Base Camp is spectacular. We will stay at Gorak Shep.

Kala Patthar

Day 10-11
Day 10: Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5545m/18,192ft) and back to Lobuche (4940m/16,207ft): 7-8 hours There is always the potential for chilly winds which are quite common. So, We prepare for an early morning departure, amid pre-dawn darkness and cold temperatures (-10 to -14 C)Familiar peaks such as Lingtren, Khumbutse, and Changtse tower to the east even as Everest begins to reveal itself. But, it is upon reaching Kala Patthar that we get to see360 degree up-close and formidable views of Mt. Everest.

Dingboche

Day 11-13
Day 11: Lobuche to Kongma La (5,535m/18,159ft) to Chukhung (4,730m/15,518ft): 6-7 hours Today, we take a slightly different route From Pheriche down to Dingboche, then we ascend to the Chukkung valley. Day 12: Chhukung to Island Peak base camp (5,200m/17,060ft): 3-4 hours Today, we walk for 4 hours From Chukkung. We make a leisurely start following the Imja Valley with great views of Ama Dablam dominating the skyline and follow the moraines that flow from Lhotse (8,501m) towards the sand flats at Pareshaya Gyab. There is a short distance to reach Base Camp.

Kathmandu

Day 13-19
Day 13: Pre-climb training on Island Peak Base Camp Day 14: Island Peak base camp to Island Peak summit (6,189m/20,305ft), back to base camp: 10-12 hours Day 15: Island Peak Base Camp to Pangboche (3,985m/13,074ft) 5-6 hours Day 16: Pangboche to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,286ft): 4-5 hours Day 17: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,800m/9,186ft): 6-7 hours This is the last day of our hike and on this day we will be trekking to Lukla from Namche Bazaar and staying overnight at Lukla. Day 18: Fly to Kathmandu (1,350m/4,428ft) We will take you back to Kathmandu and let you refresh in the day. Day 19: Departure
