Trip Itinerary
1
Santa Cruz de Tenerife
Day 1-9
The current capital of the island needs no introduction. The attractions of this colorful and quiet city are many, among which stand out the Plaza de España, with the emblematic buildings of the Post Office and the Cabildo, the Mercado de Nuestra Señora de África, where you can buy fresh Canarian products, or the Museo de la Naturaleza y el Hombre (Museum of Nature and Man). We're going to stay near Santa Cruz de Tenerife, so this is the easiest place to reach and enjoy after work. We will decide together the best places to visit, together with the activities planned (Palmetum, Wine Museum, Whale and Dolphin Tour).
2
Teide National Park
Day 9
No trip to Tenerife is complete without a visit to this impressive natural park. The uniqueness of the volcanic landscape, its extension and the fact that it is home to the Teide in its heart with its 3,738 meters high, make it one of the most special of the 16 National Parks of Spain. The ascent in the cable car is the main attraction of this place. From there you can enjoy the ascent on foot through a path to reach the summit. It is also possible to enjoy Teide at night. Through some of the stargazing activities available you can enjoy one of the most spectacular skies from a mythical place (included in the price together with cava sunset and dinner in a Canarian restaurant).
3
Playa de Benijo
Day 9
It is a black sand beach, surrounded by rock formations and offers an incredible panoramic view of the Roques de Anaga. It can be reached by car to its surroundings, where there are several restaurants where you can taste typical dishes of Canarian gastronomy. One of its greatest attractions are the sunsets, in which the undertow of the strong waves usually merges with the horizon and creates magical images with the silhouettes of the volcanic rocks that emerge from the sea.
4
San Cristóbal de La Laguna
Day 9
Located northeast of the island of Tenerife, the city was the capital of the Canary archipelago until 1833 and is currently one of the 15 cities declared World Heritage Sites in Spain. Among the monuments and places of interest are the old part of the city, the Jardina viewpoint, the Cathedral of Nuestra Señora de los Remedios, the University of La Laguna and the Plaza del Adelantado.
5
Anaga Rural Park
Day 9
Declared a Biosphere Reserve, this park stands out for its deep valleys and ravines, which house rocks (volcanic chimneys) and dykes that descend to the sea, where they form numerous black sand beaches where you can swim while enjoying the scenery. It can be reached by car (it is located a few minutes from the capital), by bus, or also through one of the excursions that run through it.
6
Acantilados de Los Gigantes
Day 9
Within the rural park of Teno, between the municipalities of Buenavista del Norte and Santiago del Teide, are the cliffs of Los Gigantes, a volcanic landscape defined by the Guanches -ancient aborigines of the island- as the "Wall of Hell". It is an ideal natural environment for whale watching, scuba diving or enjoy a boat ride from which to observe the fall of up to 600 meters high of these impressive volcanic walls.
7
Garachico
Day 9
In 1706, the Arenas Negras volcano erupted and destroyed much of the town of Garachico and its port. Today, this town has risen from the ashes and has become one of the essential places to see in Tenerife. In this historic municipality you can visit the natural pools of El Caletón, the Plaza de la Libertad, the Convent of San Francisco or El Muelle Beach, ideal for swimming.
8
Punta de Teno
Day 9
Located at the westernmost tip of the island, this small cove offers a unique landscape of cliffs and volcanic rock that has managed to remain intact thanks to its location and difficult access. In addition to the incredible views of the cliffs of Los Gigantes and the island of La Gomera, this tongue of land has the emblematic lighthouse of Punta de Teno that, with its red and white colors, finishes offering a unique panoramic view.
