5 days 4 nights in Malta sound too much? Based on my experience with 3 groups of friends who visited me in Malta, 5 days 4 nights are just right to enjoy Malta, one of the smallest country in the world with only 316 kilometres square at your own pace without rush and slightly in depth tour to understand more about the uniqueness of Maltese culture. We will explore two out of three islands in this country, namely Malta and Gozo by car which will save you plenty of time for bus waiting and give more flexibility on the tour itinerary. During the tour, we will visit the UNESCO heritage center, city of Valletta; iconic nature places around the country; the famous Games of Thrones filming city; have a walk and mingle around some town or beach (depends on weather) etc... Last but not the least, you still manage to grab the opportunity to visit christmas market held at Valletta at end of December. Weather at Malta is December is chilly and may consider warm for those visit from the north part. So a swimsuit still can be packed in your lugagge, maybe you want to dip into the sea for a quick while. 😜

About me! A Malaysian girl who relocated to Malta since November 2021 and I live in Malta for about 2 years now. I worked in local corporate service provider as accountant. During summer 2022, I explored majority of all attraction places in Malta and therefore, I am very familiar with Maltese attraction places and be my friends' tour guide in Malta whenever they visited me in the past 2 years according to their interest, preferences and bucket list. I would like to have another 2 or 3 trip mates to have a fun time with me in Malta as I am going to have a week off during the Christmas time and not planning to travel abroad. I speak English , Chinese and Malay, looking forward to have fun time together!

Details about the accommodation: The type of accommodation will be hotel twin room but subject to number of tripmates. We will spend the first three nights in Malta and one night in Gozo. There will be no breakfast included so that you can try more local cuisine and even Sicilian food in Malta (Yes, because Malta and Sicily is so close to each other). Triton Fountain

Day 1

In 2021 and 2022, the largest christmas Market in Malta was held surrounding the Triton Fountain where you will find food and beverages stalls; souvenirs stalls; ferris wheel; ice skating; santa house etc. Photo was taken myself backed in 2021 for my first Christmas in Malta.

Valletta

Day 1

Valletta, is the capital city of Malta, one of the UNESCO Heritage site. It is a must not to spend some time mingle around this smallest capital city in the European Union, enjoy a coffee or drinks at the staircase street; admire the St John Co-Cathedral; the daily gun⁸ shooting at Upper Barrakka Garden; plenty of British colonised footprint such as telephone box and mailbox; Grandmaster's Palace; the coastline walk (if weather permit) etc.

Sliema

Day 1-4

Sliema is a lively and commercial area where you can find the shopping mall (The Point), where the cruise tour depart, many hotels, the seaside where you could swim, restaurants with great view overlook to the Valetta etc.

Mdina

Day 4

Mdina & Rabat are two town next to each other. If you are a fans of Games of Thrones, you cant miss the silent city, Mdina! This rich historical city is where the Games of Thrones filmed in the past and you will be amazed with the panoramic view from Mdina. If interested, a walking tour can be arranged for Mdina and you may visit the St Paul Catacombs at Rabat as well.

Gozo

Day 4-5

Gozo is the sister island of Malta where we need to take the ferry to reach there. There are plenty of places to visit in Gozo, some not to miss are Cittadella at Victoria city; Marsalforn; Blue Hole (where the Azure Window located and collapsed in 2017) and Inland Sea; Wird il-Ghasri; Bażilika Tal-Madonna Ta' Pinu Mill Gharb; Ramla Beach etc... Depending on your interest, we may select a few and enjoy our time there.
